NEW PROJECT – artful city walks

AAH! I am so excited today my friends. I am going to share with you a little project of mine that is about to take off. It involves art, bloggers and photography. Are you ready?
introducing: Artful City Walks
What is it?
A new blog series that will feature bloggers and artists from different cities – starting with Vancouver.
What’s so cool about it?
All these awesome bloggers and artists will receive a camera loaded with good ol’ film (camera sent by me) which they will take with them on their daily commute (cameras are small, so no biggy there). They will then snap pictures of places that inspire them – anything from coffee shops, galleries, parks, restaurants, etc.
After they have some fun with the cam, they’ll send it back and I’ll develop, scan and post their best shots here on the blog along with their best city tips – places to go and recharge your creative batteries.
So, is this like a city guide?
Yep! But with pictures and advice from real people, real awesome creative people like you!
And who’s organizing it?
Me!
When are The Artful City Walks going to start?
They’ll be launched in early Spring. I am currently contacting the potential participants to get the party started, so I am busting ma butt to iron out all details.
So now you know it – very, very soon you’ll have a new excuse to travel! (by traveling I mean you on your comfy couch reading the posts or, if you are more of a dare devil, take an actual airplane and go for a vacay!).
If you have any ideas for this project (or maybe some possible candidates) send them over to hello [at] theartfuldesperado.com
Woot woot, let the artful party begin! Hope you guys have an excellent start of the week.
