This Summer 2011 issue of T Magazine is blowing my brain right now. I know it’s from 2011, but these images are fashion art, so there’s no expiration date on them.

Key things to learn from this editorial: sticking to your theme, layering, and the integration of several patterns and textures in one solid look.

The same key points can be brought to your brand. Seriously. Draw inspiration from these images and integrate it in your next catalog. You can obviously use elements that make more sense with your theme, but again – the flawless execution of this look can teach you that it’s OK to go as wild as you want, just keep it consistent, and it’ll look amazing.

Why am I talking about creativity and branding on a Friday, when all I should be talking about is how I cannot wait to sleep in and eat cake? (which I have reduced to only eating once a week. ONCE!). Well, there’s a reason (a couple actually) behind it. First, on Saturday, I am having a Creatives Coffee Date with a few cool cats. My arty pal Sandra and I are on a crusade to connect with creatives in Vancouver, and this Coffee Date is our way of luring them (in a non-creepy way, of course).

Then, on Sunday – Amy, one of the gals from All & Sundry and I are collaborating on a floral photo shoot. Yep. We are preparing some mighty content for ya. Just in time to catch those spring blooms! Keep your eyes open on Instagram for some sneak peeks!

So. There you have it. This post started with tons of beautiful imagery and ended with lots of creative energy. Not bad for a Friday, right? Enjoy the weekend my amigos.
