Oh goodie. This shit is amazing.

I found Tchmo while browsing through my reader. His work is oh-so-good to me. He also gets extra cool points for having a few pillows  with his prints on it {Tchmo, if you are reading this I will humbly, very very humbly accept a pillow..and a print}.

I dig his profile pic too, pretty enigmatic no? Who’s behind the big round circle?…it’ll remain a mystery!

COLOR INSPIRATION – Plenty of Colour

Sometimes you find sites so so beautiful they make you tear a little bit. Well, I found one of those today. To my delight, it was all about COLOR.

Meet Plenty of Colour {yes, colour – with an O and a U. Cool Canadian spelling right, Yankee?} a rainbow orgasm by talented designer Chloe Douglas – who also happens to be one of the designers for the 2010 Olympics. You can’t get any cooler than that.

Chloe’s blog is full, I mean, FULL  of beautiful color inspiration – from Pantone palettes to street art {and some confetti too!}

One of the features I like the most on her blog is the color index. Feeling in a scarlet mood? Looking for ivory shades? Wanna rock some metallics?  Then just go to the blog’s side bar and simply click on them and BOOM! color explosion before your eyes.

Plenty of Colour should definitely be on your inspiration bookmarks.

Thank you Chloe for the visual feast.

Creativity Found In Color Collective

Color Collective

A lot of times we find ourselves stuck in the “I can’t think of anything creative” aisle. In your search for inspiration you get up, make some tea and come back re-charged and ready to go. And then… “dang it! I still can’t f*ckin think of anything” so you end up doing something half-assed that looks so so and wreaks of mental staleness {sort of when you leave a crusty dish in your sink soaking for days}

Luckily for us there are people in this world like Lauren Willhite, that spend a good portion of their time seeking inspiration for themselves and others.

Lauren is the creator behind Color Collective - an awesome, beautiful blog for visual inspiration. If you have trouble coming up with an idea for your next project – you should check out her blog. If you can’t figure out what color palette matches your task – check out her blog. If you just want to detoxify your eyes from daily monotonous imagery – then visit her blog. If you still can’t come up with anything creative after you pay Color Collective a visit – then go to the liquor store.

Really, Lauren, thanks for creating places like this where us – the ones with the clogged creative drains – can go and get a little dose of mental Drano that will get our inspiration flushing down smoothly again { and really don’t try to use a mental plunger, cuz sometimes it just makes stuff come out; childhood memories, suppressed anger, your boss’s face and other healthy, secured-locked thoughts }.

And on that note…visit Lauren’s blog and use the super cool color coded notes and posts based on works from various artists – from fashion shots to paintings – It’s just candy for the eyes. Here are a few of my favourites:
